Te.Co. has always been aware of the importance of ecology and human health, and monitors all activities that could have a negative impact on the environment. Te.Co. adopts all the necessary criteria and conducts checks to ensure that its industrial automation cables are made in compliance with strict RoHs and Reachdirectives to ensure ongoing improvement of its environmental management system in relation to particularly significant areas of activity.
RoHS or Restriction of Hazardous Substances is a directive initially issued as 2002/95/EU and implemented by European Union member states in 2003, going into force in 2006. In response to continual updating of the list of hazardous substances, RoHs 2011/65/EU was created, implemented in 2013, followed by the current edition, RoHs III 2015/863/EU, entering into force on 22 July 2019. The directive prohibits release on the market of electric and electronic goods that have been made with hazardous substances that appear in the list (LINK) or contain quantities above the defined thresholds:
Our company has always done its duty to reduce the environmental impact of potentially hazardous substances, reducing quantities through reuse and cutting content of these substances in its industrial automation cables.
The REACH (Registration Evaluation Authorization of Chemicals) Regulation, EC 1907/2006, came into force on 1 June 2007 to improve protection of human health and the environment against the risks inherent in the chemical substances appearing in the list (LINK). The latest release is dated 15/01/2019, and the regulation is normally updated every six months.
In this case too, Te.Co. cables do not contain the substances listed in the regulation, in compliance with the current directives.
Te.Co. can, on request, supply the declarations listed above to allow its customers to operate in total compliance with the applicable regulations.
